i reckon you'd be fine wearing a dark visor during the day if u have a clear one with you. I don't think any copper would do you for it if u show him a that you are carrying a clear one and explain you don't want to be dazzled and can change to the clear one if the sun comes in.
If you wear a dark visor and don't have a clear one with you then you deserve to be done imho. Edit - petition signed. |

Not another Motorcycling petition...................
Before you sign this, remember how successful the other petitions have been How the Government have always just turned round and said "No, we know best now feck off". Not saying dont sign it - just saying dont expect it to do anything. Oh and as far as I am aware no-one I know has been done for a dark visor if carrying a clear one too.

signed,
If you carry a clear one as well then you would hope a copper would have sense, although it would be nice for it to be legal anyway. |

I think coloured visors should be banned under the Good Taste Law of 1989. I would also add red and blue anodised accessories to the list along with fake carbon fibre.
I'd love to meet the twonk who wants tinted visors banned up a dark alley while I'm carrying a baseball bat. |

![]() Stripped all my face carbon fibre off at the weekend too (yucky indicators). I agree with you, if they weren't banned then I could buy an approved one in the uk rather than buying the dangerous one I did end up buying from ebay. It seriously reduces visibility and I'm undecided whether I've deemed it dangerous enough not to wear.

Personally, I've found the legal ones to be more than adequate. That said, I don't have other people's eyes and I trust most people would exercise good judgement in using darker tinted visors. |

I have a proper black visor for my Arais, it's a genuine one and works very well. Even if the currently legal lightly tinted ones were banned I would still keep wearing it.
