Default Thermostat Switch Help

hi i have a K3 SV650s and im told by T7 Honda that my thermostat switch is broken, which figures becuase ive never reali seen the fan on, im just wondering if anyone knows if a thermostat switch from a curvy would fit on my bike,

found this - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/breaking--sv65...41210002r19739

i wanna try and get it sorted before the summer and T7 are trying to rip me off £48 for one

Lol you are curious why fan doesn't work in this weather?

What made you check it?

it was in getting the valve clearances checked just and they must have noticed the fan wasnt working or sumthin! ill take their word for it, my fan never comes on, but the bike still seems to be able to keep a steady 89-103 degrees, never seen it go any hotter even in traffic!

Seems fairly normal to me.

Test the switch yourself IMO.

how would i do that? jus let it heat up standin still n see if it ever comes on? it will heat up to like 100 degrees then drop down to high 80's even when its sitting still, but the fan doesnt come on. Ive owned the bike since january last year and ive seen the fan on maaaybe twice, both times quite close to when i first got it

Fair enough, to take switch out to test it you need to drop the coolant though.
