Angry Ikea rant

I know how bad IKEA is however, I have now developed a heighted sense of hatred for the place.

Setting up a new apartment sadly means spending a stupid amount of time in the hideous place. It’s like entering the giant super markets, once you enter suddenly your brain pours out your ears; couples stop in the middle of the isles to have full blazing rows and the urge to run and jump out of the nearest window strikes.

My current annoyance is that for the amount you spend in the foul smelling, strip light hell that it is, is this; the umpa lumpas they have working there could at least stack the blinkin warehouse shelves correctly NO???!!!

This is the second time that I have got home only to find that items in the same stack were the wrong colour!! No I am well aware that when you complain they tell you that it is the customer who should check the items prior to purchase however, when all their "help" computers are out of action it is rather difficult to check the numbers in each unit!!

However, one would assume that if items are all in the same stack under one number that is indeed what all of the items are in that stack.

Clearly once again showing that assumption is the mother of all **** ups.

I wouldn’t mind but the last IKEA blunder now means another hire van to take the item back and getting the correct colour and knowing that they won’t reimburse the van!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Rant over ... normal service to be resumed shortly..........

Surely everything has a label that tells you what colour/wood it is. I know every thing i've ever bought there has. And knowing they are rubbish at shelve stacking i double checked each box before i put it on my trolley, and i didn't even know they had help computers i just check the labels.

Have a nice alcoholic drink and chill, life is too short.

hmmm, just looked at their website, it all looks a bit spensive to me. £78 for a veneer set of bedroom drawers that wont even stand up by themselves so you have to screw to wall? I'll stick to B+Q and argoose

4 visits to gt 6 dining room chairs - final visit I opened each box before I hit the check, much to the delight of the management (not!) apparently you should not open the boxes before you get out of the building. When I showed the receipts/returns for the chairs I had bought previously that day they soon helped me find 6 that were not broken. Trouble is where else do you go after IKEA? other stores seem so expensive for very similar products.

They do stand up by themselves, it's just a safety thing if the chests are tall. I've got them in the kids bedrooms and they are so much better made and easier to put together than other places.

Can't say I've ever had any issues with Ikea.

I even had an Ikea mobile until the service folded because it was so cheap they were making a loss running it...
