Default Tugged for a small plate.

Hi guys. I recently got pulled for my plate (7.5''x5.5'') I never thought it was that bad but the officer seemed to be quite arsey about it. I thought it was ileagal but not taking the ****. What size of plates do you guys use and get away with?
I know everyone is different and they range from stupidly small to the good old barn door size

I have had a 7x5 on my sv for many years. I do change it at MOT time though to the 9x6 sailboard thats required.

I still find it hard to understand why a 7x5 isnt legal. My 9x3 even got me done on a gatso years ago.

Luckily the standard plates aren't too big out here.

I have a 7X5 on both my bikes. I did get pulled for speeding once and told to go home and change my plate for the correct one. I never did, and that was 3 years ago and i've never been pulled again.

Think I've got an 8x6 on mine (9x7 is standard I believe).

not worth the possibility of a fine or points(??) IMO. Ive got a small plate that came with the bike but ive never used it. Theres no real gain either, not like a loud can that sounds good !!

I've got a 6x4 plate cos otherwise you can't see my indicators, which are integrated into the undertray.

It's a PITA come MOT time. I'm thinking of restoring it back to stock.
