I have mini indicators on the rear, but they never last very long at all, wires break or the rubber rots, or comes off the bolt part. But i hate the look of the standard ones, which I can't refit now as I butchered that section off completely.
Suggestions? Was considering the flush mount ones into the fairing but I'm not sure if they are legal? Plus, with the fairing being so curved, doubt they will fit right. |

All the flush mounts I've seen won't fit the curvy fairing, except these one from the USA
http://distributionjester.com/flush-...v65099-02.aspx Trouble is with this type is that they're even less visible than mini indicators. As for the rear indicators not lasting? Try these British made ones. You might pay a bit more, but at least you can send them back for repair, unlike all the others which will be made overseas. http://www.oberon-performance.co.uk/

I had some of these http://www.bikebitzuk.co.uk/index.ph...oducts_id=1017 on my K5 and they were very good but you will need resistors with them as well to stop them flasing fast.
these look good as well and the + side is if they do brake you can take them back to the shop http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/shop/p...oducts_id/6480 |

I came across your thread by chance and not sure you are still a regular visitor to the forum but had a quick question. I have a very similar spec machine to yours and was going to replacement the profiled (assuming standard) rear indicators for the ones you suggest on the link but wondered how easy they are to fit and whether they need replacment bracket or tail tidy? Any help would be appreciated. Like the look of them and my existing ones are awful to read if you are behind so not even that safe when on the road. Cheers Tim |

right if you are getting LED'S you will be best getting a nice tailtidy I had the hamicad http://www.hamicad.co.uk/SV_Fender.html and it was excellent quality and came with good instructions.
I would also get some connections like these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Indicator-Conn...d=p3286.c0.m14 so you do not have to cut any wires. then you will need some load resistors to stop the indicator flashing fast these seem good and easy to fit http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10W-resistors-...d=p3286.c0.m14 I used different ones but required soldering, if I were fitting them now I would use some like the ones in the link. |

Great - Im on it. I am assuming that the tail tidy doesnt come with the actual indicators themselves and these need to be sourced elsewhere togther with the other components you kindly added links for ? I assume I will need to change the tray or at least have the old indy holes filled with rubber gaskets or similar. Probably better to replace so will see what cost is for the replacement on-line.
Thanks guys - Tim |
