Have done a search but can only find threads on sized/rounded off bolts etc.
Have also looked through the Haynes manual and the alphasports fiche. What size (diameter/length) are the bolts that hold the fairings on (below)? ![]() I need some more as the garage kept mine after my off, gonna get them from www.stagonset.co.uk. |

problem is you need the proper fastener with a shoulder otherwise you end up damaging your plastic as you will not get it tight enough to stay put.

Is that true of the two bolts highlighted though Tim? I know the ones that hold the bikini fairing and the side covers either side of the seat have shoulders, but I though the ones highlighted were just regular bolts and the rubber grommets that they go through on the fairing have plastic inserts in them?

it might be a small metal collar that pushes in between the rubber gromet, just something to tighten too.

Hi Mark, if you wouldn't mind just looking at the pic (or even one of the bolts off your bike) and let me know what size diameter and length they are that would be v. much appreciated.
Also would be good to know if they have the smooth collar/spacer on them too! |

hmmmm, thinking about it. It is a while since I took lowers off a SV, I think kwak is right and a normal bolt should be ok as you have the rubber mounts with a metal core. I was thinking like my bike that nips up on the shoulders.
