Sorry i know i went on about this the other day, but now i have the funds to upgrade my front springs.
So money no object which would you advise? I know for progressives i can get hagons or hyperpros. But still haven't decided whether to get linears or progressives. So were have you guys who have linears bought them from as i cant seem to find any. Please let me know which springs are best and whichever gets the most votes i will be purchasing this weekend Thanks |

Search. This has been done many, many times.

Linears are better if you get matched weight springs to your weight + matched weight oil.
if youir just drpping springs in for knocking about on the road progressives are fine. |

It is only for road use, well as for now may venture to the odd track day in the future. Though i do ride it rather hard round the lanes
I way about 13 stone without kit. Emulators, i thought they were for curveys only, or was i being stupid? If it makes any difference its a k8 naked |

are emulators not complex to fit/set-up?

if money really isnt an object then why not consider dropping in a set of Matris cartridges.
Racetech emulators are excellent, I use them on my SV650 race bike and previous FZR400 race bike (no they arent just for curvys, they are for any damper rod type forks) but they are not the easiest to fit and not adjustable from the outside of the fork. If you are mechanically minded then emulators arent too big a problem to fit but if you dont have a clue I wouldnt bother, or get somebody else to do them. Another option is to give Maxton a call, they will be able to transform your suspension at a cost. Last edited by flymo; 27-03-09 at 09:42 AM. |
