yes bear correct per the book & it doesn't change 2 up. BUT I prefer 36f & 42r which is common for a lot of bikes

this may sound like a silly question but if 33f and 36r is the recommended pressure doesn't 36f and 42r affect the handling?

i always worry if i am over by too much

Of course it affects the handling! I wouldn't do it if it didn't change it....for the better
The way I like it is the tyres rock solid so when you turn it doesn't feel squirmy to me.
