Drop my bike this morning on the way to work, bloody annoying! First time I've done that, everyone said that you will drop it at some point but I was determined not too but 'life is a bitch'
Anyway, only damage was the indicator getting smashed, so looks like i have something to do this weekend. Indicator shopping!! |

Sorry to hear about your fall. I also thought I'd never drop my bike, but a couple of years ago, I forgot the disc lock was on, and tried to ride off (luckily, I'm not one to tear off, and pulled off slowly). Ended up on the floor, with just a broken front brake lever.
I too have standard unused indies in the garage somewhere. Let me know which one you need. HTH Chin

Cheers for the offer of the OEM indicators.
I'm thinking I may change the OEM indicator to after market ones. Is it straight forward fitting after market indicators to a SV650s?? |

yes it is really a bit fiddly, i would recoment either some bullet connectors or some spade connectors, your need on either end and obiously opposites on the bike, then connect them up, it takes a little bit of cutting the wires and stripping them and that you can fit the two wires together, i dont know if it matters but there is a black one with a hite line on the indicator and one on the bike, join them together and then connect the other two together.
for the front your need a adapter plate called an indy spacer i think. have a look at HG and places like that sell them |

You also need to consider that fact tha if you go down the LED route, the LED units have a different resistance to a standard bulb, hence will also need an inline resistor to fool the flasher unit into flashing at the correct speed - not a big deal but ask at the shop and they should be able to guide you.

Glad you are alright! Going to give us any more embarrassing details
![]() Almost had an off myself this morning. Some muppet in a white van decided to to give me a gentle shove into the gutter and scratched up my exhaust. *sigh* Guess I'll have to buy some polish now. |
