Now that I've sold my naked curvy I'm on the look out for a pointy S. I decided that I fancied a faired bike to make motorway riding and touring a little easier.
My only concern is the comfort of the lower bar position of the S. It's hard to judge what it'll be like when just sitting on a bike or taking it for a short test ride. How do the owners of SVS find them? I've heard that slower riding can be a bit of a pain, literally. |

Its not wristy at all, those that tel you it is, havent ridden something more sports focused, compared to my GSXR an SVS is like riding a big comfy arm chair.

ive only had a curvy svs but that was pretty wrist heavy through town however the pointies feel's a bit more relaxed too me you'll just have to give it a go you can alway's get a set of higher bars for it if it causes problems imo.

Just check that the levers are adjusted right - they usually seem to be too high, so your wrist has a backward angle to start with.

I found the seat a bit of a plank so changed it for a bagster seat. Otherwise absolutely fine.

That was my other question... is the pointy seat any more comfortable than the curvy? Surely it couldn't be any worse!

No problems with either of my s's. All the levers have been adjusted correctly, and gear lever set at the right place for my feet. I do have a Corbin on one, and a OEM gel seat on the other, both are fantastic on long distance. Could sit weasily 500 miles on the Corbin or OEM, just the OEM isn't pleasant when its wet.

the pointy seat feels firmer than the curvey one. But I felt the firmer pointy seat gave more support if that makes sense.
The riding position is also different, you sit in the curvey but you sit on the pointy. I prefer the pointy riding position as IMHO it gives a more commanding view of the road ahead.
