Afternoon all,
I've got some lowers (Thanks Mouldy ![]() -I am missing the black air ducts. Any idea where I can get some replacement ones? (These chaps): I've cunningly used filler and created smoother ones. They look better than the black extra ones would have! ![]() ![]() -I also need the rubber grommits to mount the panels. Where can I get my hands on some grommits? Got them! Woo! ![]() (The little black dots on the above picture) Finally, here is her new look. It feels incomplete but sadly, without the RHS upper, I probably won't go fully Rizla. I'd like to know what people think I should do. Keep a half race-style? Just sand it down a repaint it yellow? Do something completely different? Opinions greatly received! ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Ben_K; 15-06-09 at 02:56 PM. |

Thanks husky, I didn't think to try 'scoops'. I tried most others (ducts, vents, intakes
![]() Cheers Chompy. yeah, they look weird as they are. Should I go for standard flat yellow, or maybe something different, e.g. lower half black? By the way, I got my hands on some grommets from my work engineering department. Bargain! ![]() |

Sorry, I should have added; I did take them off. Yes, they look crap and I still had to get the grommets. Got the grommets... now I face a long slog with the wet/dry to get the Rizla sanded down and keyed.
As well as half black, I was also considering keeping the black strip at the bottom (where the 'shopping list' currently is). What is the cheapest way to get it resprayed (I'll do it myself to save the pennies. Is Hellfrauds standard bodge paint adequate, or is it really that bad?) Hmm... that's feasible. Pompey isn't too much of a journey for me. Do they have a website?
I am looking around for some quotes at the moment, but I have experience of spraying cars (just rattley celly cans mind) so I am not too worried about attempting it. It's just a cost balance really. |
