Default Suzuki Top Box

Looking for a Top Box for the SV.....Yeah, OK, not very cool, but I do need to carry things at times. The Suzuki genuine part looks good if a little expensive. The mounting sits on the rear seat.

But it does look as if only the genuine top box fits it

Has anybody got one? What are they like? Is there anything else out there I should be looking at?

I've got one, and yes, that plate is a suzuki part and only takes the suzuki topbox. I got mine from robinsons foundry, and found it cheaper than a Givi one, they are made by Givi apparently, and holds loads. It's really stable too, because it's not hanging off the end of the pillion seat, but obviously downside is no pillions.

Wouldn't be without it now, use it all the time, completely waterproof and more secure than soft luggage. I go and do the food shop and lock my helmet in it.

Thanks for your reply. Not too sure that I like the look of it but one must be practical sometimes The plus point is that it can be removed easily when not needed.

Looking at top boxes myself and this seems to be one of ther better solutions. Atleast i can take it off the bike and replace it with the rear seat if i want to. I dont fancy the idea of having a metal rack where the grab handle should be (plus the bike wouldnt fit in my garage anymore)

No probs, here's the link. It works out cheaper than a lot of other makes.

FG1 (amongst others) has got himself a cheap pillion seat and bolted a topbox to it. You can get a lot more bang for your buck that way and an pick and choose which topbox you use.
