Is there a question in the OP

It's a great bike
what do you want to know? Any particular year as some are more focused than others.
Do you want to know about the Daytona? or was that just a statement.
You have searched right?

I may be awkward, but I'm not stupid

It would just be a lot easier if 'they' would form some coherent specific questions. Perhaps specify what 'they' want from a bike

I know these questions get asked a lot but maybe you should take it as a compliment people trust in your judgements?

Test rides are the only way to decide if you like a bike.
You say that test rides are not always possible, so would you buy a bike that you have never ridden?
Theres no point in someone saying that the daytona is a better bike than the zx6 or that the gsxr is a better bike than an r6 etc.
We are all built differently and want different things from bikes.
Go out and test ride them for yourself.
Only you know what you want and need from a bike.

heres a quick exsample of what to ask to get a responce to help you
im ***** and im looking to get etheir a triumph 600 or a ninja 636
im * foot tall and weigh * stone (this may effect dission)
i wish to cumute on it/ do long tours/race as i have outgrown/think the sv is too powerful/ to uncomfortable/ too slow
(delete as appropriate)
im thinking of spending x amount (this will effect quality/year of desired bikes)
mainly i ride on track/twisties/motorways
so which would you advise for a more sporty/ relaxed/ mental/ reliable/ cheap/ tunable stead
cheers *****
hth this is the sort of info required for good advice to be deliverd to you, eg give them a picture of the who's and why's then we would take our knowledge and put it to your peramiters
