On the GSXR-front-end-on-a-naked that I assisted with the original headlamp brackets were used after some modification. The rings were split open and the original rubbers re-used, (albeit that it's quite a squeeze), on the new forks. Obviously the yokes aren't the same distance apart, so the brackets needed to be shortened and rewelded at the right length.
Check where the fairing needs to be and shorten at the appropriate end.

cheers sid that is what i was thinking,.... about cutting the brackets but dont understand why they would need welding once cut as they would just fit right on and everything should pop on .

The ones I did required shortening as the GSXR clip-ons were used, as the clip-ons fit underneath the top yoke the brackets needed to be shortened to accommodate that.

Possibly, I don't know if the GSXR yokes are the same distance apart as the SV ones, I'm sure there's not a huge difference though.

What top yoke are you using, and what are you doing for a speedo drive?

For top yoke I will cut alloy plate to fit in voids underneath yoke, drill to suit risers and bond in with epoxy. (don't want to TIG it for fear of distortion and causing stresses).
Another alloy plate held on with same bolt as risers coming forward to hold clocks on original mounts.

Edit: it is stock top yoke from GSXR600K1-3

Speedo sensor will be magnets and 1GT101DC hall effect pickup.
