Default Good Home For Dog Needed

This is posted on the Ducati site, but I know there are a lot of dog lovers here, so fingers crossed someone can help. I will be happy to pass your contact details on to Rob.

There is a big problem locally with homeless Staffys, the local paper has run a couple of appeals looking for homes. My lad has one that was going to be destroyed before he took it in. Lovely dog but daft as a brush.

I hope someone will take this one

It's a damned shame. I would love for us to be able to take her, but we are out so much it just wouldn't be fair. She needs a loving home with someone around most of the day to help her adjust to the change.

What a shame, you don't get rid of a dog before you even know if you've got a problem with it.

A dog shouldn't get anywhere near a newborn baby anyway without direct supervision and without the dog under the control of the parents, on a leash if necessary. It will be obvious if they have a problem with the dog long before the baby gets to crawling around the floor stage. Keep them separated and introduce slowly if you think you may have a problem. This is a my Labrador, he's a major attention seeker and was jealous as hell when my son arrived, look at them a few months later! Now he's two they love each other to bits and the dog only comes looking for attention after my son has gone to bed 'cos he knows that's the time of day for him to be the baby again.

I totally agree, Col.

My shepherd/dobie cross was 3 when Becca was born. From the minute I brought her home from hospital she was 'his' baby. He always knew she was awake before I heard her and would run upstairs to sit outside her room. They were inseperable.
