Default Micro Men - A history of geekdom

Has anybody else watched this, I watched it the other night, the story of Sinclair, Acorn and the BBC Micro.

Fascinating stuff, and so many memories of being a spotty oik in the computer room at lunchtime.

Its being repeated on BBC4 at the mo, or you can watch it on iplayer here

Nope a true story, although I think the people who wrote the script have taken the p*ss a wee bit... But it does add a nice comedic edge to it.

I had an Acorn Electron at home now I know why it was so cheap !

At school we had an Econet network of BBC Model B's and Masters, 5.25 inch floppy disks anybody...

I watched it the other night. It definitely brought back memories, but appears to have been written by a BBC Micro fanboy. They certainly did a hatchet job on Sir Clive.
Both Acorn and Sinclair were pretty badly mismanaged. After the programme, I spent a while reading up on them on Wikipedia.

No, it was very good and, as far as my memory serves, the important elements of the story are true and accurate.

No its just a one off, its worth it for the closing sequence alone which had me chuckling away to myself.

I wander if my parents still have my Acorn Electron up in the loft...
