Default instrument bulbs

removed rev counter & speedo bulbs ( not working) but local bike shop having a problem getting me replacement ones 14v 0.84w . Why is this a problem and is there an alternative. Any input appreciated.

Good morning.


All the Jap manufacturers use oddball wattages ( not to mention sizes) in some of their bulbs. I suspect this is a ploy to make one purchase the original ones at £sillymoney.
If they're the small capless type they should be more readily available in 1.2 watt, which will be fine for your useage.
Go to a good motor spares shop, & see what they've got.
