Japanese game show = random pain and/or humiliation for contestants, and only the strongest survive.
I'm sure I remember seeing one on tarrant on TV way back when where they ran fuse wire over that area, and launched contestants into a lake while said contestant was relaxing after fearing their joy department was about to be firebombed.
