Default Fundraising advice

Next year I'm running the London marathon. I've decided to do it for a charity that is very important to me at the moment so I'd like to raise as much money as possible for them.

I'm in the process of setting up a just giving page and I was wondering what I should include on it. What could I include that would make you more likely to sponsor me?

Sarah - best advice I can give is write the page from the heart! Keep it up to date so it looks like you are making an effort and constantly tout it at every opportunity.

For example, all of my department have www.justgiving.com/kev-hall in the e-mail signature.

I left sponsor forms on reception and on my desk last time and did a powerpoint presentation which I placed on the intranet at work too.

I'll sponsor you too so as soon as you have the site up let me know!

Here is my 2008 one, http://www.justgiving.com/kevhall, I used to update it weekly with my progress, but leaving the main bit about the charity the same.
