The best one I use is ConvertXtoDVD,as its says it converts most formats(avi,xvid,mpeg,ect)to DVD and very simple to use.

Allok AVi to DVD SVCD VCD Converter
Available on own or as part of Allok 9 in 1. I use admin's recommendation of Format Factory for most other projects (video/audio/picture) other than the AVI to DVD we're talking about - I can't seem to get it to copy to DVD video files that my Nero will recognise. Operator error most likely

Another vote for ConvertXtoDVD from me. It's very easy to use - put blank disc in drive, select file to convert, then walk away and leave it to covert & burn all in one go.

get a dvd player with xvid playback, ours works a treat, from usb or disc.

Ive used cucosoft avi to dvd for years now and never had to look for anything else.
