Question How to remove mangled float bowl screws?

I want to remove the float bowl screws on my carbs. They are typically mangled up! Why do people re-use them like that? Anyway, whats your way of removing such screws?

+ tap them ( not too hard ) to break the seal - if you can apply unscrewing pressure at the same time, it'll help.

Had to get a small chisel and tap it round. Did it though.
