I want to remove the float bowl screws on my carbs. They are typically mangled up! Why do people re-use them like that?

hack saw or dremmel a slat in it then get a good flat head screw?

+ tap them ( not too hard ) to break the seal - if you can apply unscrewing pressure at the same time, it'll help.

Had to get a small chisel and tap it round. Did it though.
