Default Crash bung torque settings?

Hey people,

Just about to fit my R&G crash bungs and wondered if anyone knows what the torque settinigs are for the bolts you use/replace and the nuts on the engine mounting bar (which I havent managed to undo yet) ?

Thanks in advance Luke

Which one? Main bolt through middle?

Just fitted mine a couple of weeks ago and according to acccompanying paperwork only advises on attachment of bung do not exceed 40Nm. Dont think it mentioned about any other settings. Here is link to r and g fitting instructions.

Thanks for the replies,

Yes I mean the main bolt through the middle and the bolt infront of that on either side.

I have R&G's instructions and I will be torquing the bolts that hold the bungs to the alloy blocks to 4ONm, but theres no settings for the bolts you replace or the engine mounting bar!

Oh Its a K3 pointy if that makes a difference!

Thanks again Luke

I fitted mine about 3 weeks ago and had the same thing and just went for tight then a quarter more turn! Fook knows if it is right, but the bike still seems to work and the engine is still in there!

Hello Pukey,

Just fitted some R&G bungs this weekend.
The main engine bolt that pass right the way through and attaches the brackets is 67.5 lb-ft,
and the smaller engine bracket bolts are 40.0 lb-ft.

The bung torque is as per R&G instruction sheet.

Cheers.
