Default Suicidal Mobility Scooter.

I can only assume that the driver of the mobility scooter i almost splattered over the road was trying to commit suicide, as i went past a speed camera on the way into shrewsbury this a.m. a scooter i had seen on the road in front of me turned left into a crossroads, then proceeded to do a very swift 180 degree turn and then drive straight across in front of me, didn't even look my way, Luckily for him i wasn't going very fast due to the speed camera and had time to swerve and avoid him, hardly a SMIDSY as i drive a Honda CRV which isn't one of the smallest vehicles on the road, he carried on as if nothing has happened, if he does it again do i , swerve and avoid him or accelerate and flatten him as i can only assume thats what he wanted me to do? Perhaps they ought to take a test on these scooters.

Daryl.

LOL, how you gonna do that? Most of them wouldn't remember the name to put at the top of the answer sheet

There's one around here that thinks despite there being a perfectly usable wide kerb with drop kerbs at every junction it's a better idea to ride up the middle of the road at 5mph holding everybody up

Don't know whether it's annoying or just very sad...

probably both, and to be honest they aren't much safer on the pavements or in super markets.

my mum who has never driven a car in her life and does not possess a driving licence uses a mobility scooter.

i remember a few years ago a friend of mine used to work as a security guard in a shopping centre in edinburgh. My mum used to get to use a scooter from shop mobility and used to whizz around the centre. My mate had to warn her that if she didn't slow down she would get banned from the shopping centre.

she didn't know that the accelerator lever worked on pressure, the harder you pressed it the faster you went. she just thought that you pushed the lever and off you went.
