How many wins you had, losses, draws? (I don't believe in draws myself!)...
Primary school to sixth form, 100+ arm wrestles...1 defeat...ended up beating 'em back anyway. Uni..50+ armwrestles so far, 2 defeats..beat one of 'em back...the others a tank of a guy with INSANE wrists...can hold him out for a good few minutes, but he's like a piece of iron. Any people round here that just can't refuse a challenge when it presents itself?! ![]() |

Win some, lose some, i blame having long arms, everyone knows short arms are better for arm wrestling.

Lol! Funniest thread in ages.
I am rubbish at arm wrestling which is odd as I am into bodybuilding and the gym quite a lot so am pretty strong. I don't do it anymore as I pulled my forearms muscles twice doing it and then couldn't train for 2 weeks! |

I like a good arm wrestle now and again. Every year I have a Christmas get-together with a bunch of uni mates and it's not long before we're seeing who's got stronger / weaker over the year - I'm sure this year will be no exception
![]() Last time I arm-wrestled one mate we were in a pub near Covent Garden and going at it for quite a while - I could hardly move my arm for about two weeks after that. I gave myself a nose bleed straining too. One of our mates is a Nigerian lad, about 10 stone, but stupidly strong. None of us can beat him. There was a guy at our uni who was a mature student from Portugal who was built like Van Damme - he was a proper serious martial artist and was the strongest guy I've ever met. Three of us tried to move his arm once and couldn't do it ![]() |

Yeeh they're a weird one. From my experience height and weight don't seem to make that much difference. I'm 5"10 and 83kg, and don't exactly have the biggest arms in the world. Also gym goers don't seem to have much of an advantage. Its part technique, part strength, with hands/wrist/foreram/arm/shoulder/back in that order of importance Ive read. I broke my right wrist twice at the age of 7 and 10! I wonder if that gives some sort of freakish advantage as it heals stronger or something? Nothing like a good arm wrestle tho! |

I think of that scene in The Fly and decide not to arm wrestle.
