Take the pads out and refit them with a smear of copper grease on the non-friction side, between the pads and the pistons

Might be something else, but check your brake pads.
Mine used to squeak when they were getting low. And what TLW said . |

I doubt it - Haven't done it on my old SV but on the ADV it's one locating pin and the pads fall out the calliper, can't imagine Mr Suzuki designing a bike where the only way to change the pads involved removing the wheel

On the ADV they're ~£20 a pair from the dealer, but at 6k miles I doubt you'll need them unless you drag the rear brake everywhere...

thats what i thought, but then i was thinking maybe they kind of expire or something, is there a section on here that explains how to remove the pads? |

I'd imagine it's in the owners manual, but I've been a bit spoiled by KTMs extensive instructions in theirs...
If not someone who knows more than me can probably explain it better, but on the KTM it's a 60 second job to change the backs

the haynes explains it quite well.
Word of warning you sometimes have to split the caliper to do it
