Back firing? - SV650.org

Hi all,

My 04 SV1000s has started backfiring over the last couple of months, it's mainly doing it when I blip the throttle to change down gear or the classic going down hill on the over run, but its the blipping the throttle thats worrying as it sounds like loud click from the engine then pop as it back fires. I've got the standard cans on it atm, but the guy who owned it before me had race ones on do you think this has messed up the fueling?

Anyone else had this prob at all? Any help would be appreciated.

Mine does it all the time with race cans on, doesn't with the standard cans when I have them for MOT time though.

Aye my Bandit used to back fire quite a lot when I had a race can on it, that was fine. But this is like a loud click noise coming from the radiator/front of engine then a real quick dip in power and back fire noise from the exhausts, it doesnt sound like a normal backfire which is whats worrying me.
