Default trashed a mates bike earlier :(

we decided to swop rides on the way home from warwick........
bad move, about 4 to 5 miles later a deer appeared in my lights from my left just after i passed 3 cars near southam. i went straight over the top of his gsxr as i hit it square on, i had no chance
i came round with 5 people watching over me and a deer in 2 halves over the road. the bike is in a field and i havent seen it yet, he took mine home and i got a lift in an ambulance. i expect it to be wrecked

the full bike kit did its job well, just need to wash the deer remains from the leathers and check them over. certainly need a new helmet. boots and gloves survived well but i dont know how the skin is missing from my knuckles
only injuries are a headache with dizzy spells, a sore left foot, aching from my groin upwards, 2 grazed knuckles on my right hand, right elboe, right shoulder and lower back.
a car coming the other way also hit the deer as it was thrown towards him. RIP roe deer .......git!!
i was lucky i stayed on my side of the road i suppose, it could have been a lot worse.
just need to find him a new bike now

pic of the lid.......

Ouch sounds nasty mate. You're in one piece though and that's all that matters.

Crazy when you hear about stuff like this. Anyway, hope you're back riding soon.

God morning all.

Bad show mate, at least you're in one piece, that's the main thing. Hope you feel better soon.

Cheers.

Unlucky mate. I ride that road pretty much every time I go out. Will have to keep an eye out for the deers next time.

Oh deeer, must try harder!
I'm kidding.
Its really not easy staying on when hitting one and carving such a large object in half. I was lucky. Judging by the fact you came round with five people round you, I suspect being knocked out actually saved you serious injury.

Reading stuff like this only enforces why I refuse to let anyone near my bikes, other than my nearest and dearest. I wouldn't want to be getting in huff when me best mate trashes my baby. I'm sure your friend won't blame you.

Tough luck mate, hope you recover soon and the bike get sorted relatively painlessly. No matter how good a motorcyclist we try to be incidents involving animals are nearly always beyond our control and it sounds like you probably had even less vision if there were headlights coming the other way as well. Take care and look at it on the bright side, at least your bikes OK....
