I'm changing my faired pointy to a naked. Where can I get the naked type cap, instead of the long hose and cap that the faired sv has?

You'll need to change the rad itself if you wish to dispense with the cap extension.

Oh crap. Isn't there a conversion part or something that could be soldered on ?

I dare say that someone suitably equipped could attach the relevant part to your present rad. It might just be easier to cut the existing hose down such that the cap assembly is attached immediately to the radiator, and cut away the bracket/attachment part of the cap assembly. When opening the cap be sure to support the assembly so as not to twist the hose.

The cap on a naked has a screw in the side too, presumably to stop folk fiddling with it when you park up ?
Out of curiosity, why are you converting it ? |

Yeh I could just drill a screw to secure the cap
Wind buffeting was getting on my nerves. Without fairings the wind holds you up so takes the weight off your hands, and it's a lot calmer and quieter. And I just think it looks tidier |

Does it ? I never knew that, I assumed the naked would be noisier etc. I bought mine for the riding position.
