Default sv650 what mpg and what do you get to a tank?

What do u guys get to a tank (when the orange light comes on) and what mpg are you getting out of your sv650's?

Mcn states 40mpg but it must be higher than that, i used to get 46mpg out of my blade!

Im only on my first tank of fuel so will update figures when i next fill up.

Btw. The way i work out mpg is thus:

when filling up to the brim make a note of the litres you put in.

Divide the litres you put in by 4.55 to give the uk gallon amount

Then divide the gallons by the miles you clocked up since you last filled up. Obviously it helps if u reset your trip counter when you fill up.

That is my own formula btw so if anyone has a better more accurate method then please share.

I used to get between 50-75mpg. Depending on the riding obviously. HTH

Oh and welcome to the forums, fellow Yorkshire man, or you just moved here?

its worth while noting that mcn probably use an american gallon which is a lower unit measurement than ours!

Gladius can do 45 miles after yellow light 30 flashing. 200 miles top=up if I know where the petril station is 195 miles to coldstreak 13.55 ltrs.

I did 56 out of the last tank - 190 odd miles, and 61 out of the tank before that - 203 miles. Both times I filled it up, I could hardly squeeze 16 litres in...
