I tried the handroid but the stupid bits on the back were annoying.

I went fot the Biomech in the end and am really happy with them.
Its essentially the same glove without the ghey plastic bits on the fingers:-

Good fit and £25 cheaper too.

(EDIT:-handroid pic added)

I have a pair of the handroids and have never found a better glove! They are amazingly comfortable, great feel and have never found the finger protectors to be a problem, the cuff fastner is awesome too!

Best thing to do though is go and try a pair on as everyones hands are different.

It was the plastic bits trying to straighten my fingers that put me off!

That and the amount of returns they had had due to the plastic popping out in places.

ah now, that was one of my concerns. only having studied a piccy the spines do look fragile. maybe i'm not sold on them yet then.

my old goal keepers gloves had spines like the handroids and they were meant to take impacts and they snapped within a very short space of time might not be the case with these but could possibly be the same

When I tried them on, they were lovely to wear (if your fingers were straight) but they just seem too much of a gimmic.

£150 on a pair of gloves is ok, if they are proven to be better than anything else out there.

There just seemed too much that can go wrong with these.
The do look cool as (and yes I am a bike tart) but, for £25 less (2 tanks of fuel) I feel I made the right choice with the biomech instead.

Well the part that fell off was actually the knuckle cover which never actually fell off just hung loose, they have redesigned this now (so they say) but I just used a dab of superglue and it's all fine now.

So nothing to do with the finger protectors, though this is just my experience.
