Default Anyone ever shipped stuff by SEA freight?

Hi all

A bit of a business dilemma here.

International client ordered some UPS batteries from me (which they do every few months) but this time its been rejected by UK Customs.

Apparently due to the toner cartidge bomb found in Oct last year, everything is being tightened down on and acid batteries by air are a nono.

So...land is out of the question - they said they dont mind waiting on sea freight if I can arrange it, even with the estimated 4-5 week lead time.

Never ever shipped anything by sea before! Looking for personal recommendations before I waste time ringing peopleoff Google.

Package is around 30-40KG's, not very big I shouldnt have thought.

So, any shipping experts here?

Years ago - used to ship a few barrels of oil here and there. Give this bunch a call http://www.fastnetforwarding.co.uk I don't know if they'll handle anything that small but if they don't they'll know who will...

Gave them a call, they sound like a friendly bunch and are getting back to me.

Thanks Ian!
