Hi All,
One of the lads here ask me what's the difference between the pointy 650 and the 650S? A little ashamed to say I wasn't able to answer him , bar saying the S has the fainres and the 650 doesn't? Can anyone tell me please? Or point me in the direction of a previous thread about same ? Try doing a search before hand, as to try and hind my lack of knowledge with no luck. Last bit: I have my test here on the 22nd of FEB , so hoping all goes well, and I 'll get the clock started ticking downwards , bit concerned about doing the u turned as I have 6 to 8 meters to do it in and the lock on the bike can just do it when I walk it thought ha-ha, will let ye know how I get on ,fingers crossed |

May be worth a read, I havnt taken a look myself but from what i currently think the spec is: (note this is only for SV's 2002-2007) SV650 = Naked version: ![]() SV650S = With faired headlight (pointy nose): fairing lowers were not fitted on any factory models until the 2007 sport was released. Prior to that the fairings were considered an optional extra. Post 2007 the SV650 sport (twinspark) came with fairing lowers and the white central strip through the paintwork: ![]() Hope that helps. Plus the S also has slightly higher foot pegs and also comes with clip ons rather than handle bars.

He asked about the pointy, some of what you've put relates to the curvey faired/naked differences.
You've only disassembled one pointy though compeeared to your many curvys so we'll let you off ![]() |
