Theory Test tomorrow, i know its not supposed to be too hard but just wondered if anyone had any difficult questions or questions that they came unstuck on that they want to share with me??? Also, any advise on the observation part other than "click on everything"???!!!!!

A question is only difficult if you don't know the answer. Have you had the actual DSA dvds? Most of your questions will be multiple choice and pretty obvious answers too but only if you happen to own a portion of common sense. If you're already driving on the road/riding about on a 125 bike then you shouldn't have a problem. Obviously with the hazard perception, don't click constantly but as soon as you see cars emerging from the side, horses, cyclists, objects in the road, blind bends, crap on the road surface etc. Click a couple of times as soon as you see it, and a second or two later as the hazard gets closer/develops.
Oh and good luck ![]() Last edited by missyburd; 14-04-11 at 05:03 PM. |

I got the theory test book and read it cover to cover. Wasnt as boring as it sounds. I got 59/60 in the question part. Like MYC says - if you are already on the road then you should pretty much know most the answers anyway.
Hazard preception - I still dont understand it and only just managed to pass that part! Good luk and take your time ![]() |

Ah MM you did it before they changed the questions and stuff I take it? Cos now there's 50 questions (I got's 49) - well as of October 2010 - and the hazard perception is out of a possible 75 points - think it was 15 clips altogether (I gots 68

I havnt had the DSA dvd's but i do have an iphone app with all the questions and have been going through a few of these, Ive also been car driving for 20 years so ive got fairly good road sense! I just found there were a few questions that cropped up like order of traffic lights and stopping distances which bamboozled me a little. I better had look these up tonight! I dont think you can revise for the hazard perception but thanks for your advise MYC.

I used http://www.theory-test.co.uk/
It costs about 2 quid per day 90% of the questions I saw on the actual test where covered on the website, it also has lots of hazard perception sims too. I read the highway code back to back as well as tones of revision for my car test 8 years ago, no way was I doing it all again ![]() Last edited by grimey121uk; 14-04-11 at 08:22 PM. |

hazard perception bit is crap, click it to early and you dont get the points (couldn't work that out) click it to many times and you don't get it.
passed it first go but i can see how people fail because of that. just take your time, its not a race, once your done go over it again and check what you have put. Read the questions and all of the answer's before you decide even if you think you already know. Good luck |

Listen very carefully to the instructions. Twice if you need to. I did an online hazard perception video which wasn't quite the same as the DVLA one. I only just passed in the end.
Good luck! Last edited by Stenno; 14-04-11 at 10:00 PM. |
