Default Besotted with an italian

Whilst I love my SV, I've been hankering after something a little more exotic and something that doesn't completely kill my backside after an hour. I picked this up at the weekend:

I rode it about 130 miles back and felt fresh as a daisy, way more comfortable than the SV apart from wind blast (my SV has a MRA screen fitted). Performance is staggering compared to the SV, but I suspect fuel economy isn't going to be quite as good. That said, on the first tank I've done ~135 miles before the light came on. Still got the SV for now, though is in the care of my brother.

That is very nice, but an expensive way to cure the Sv's bad seat, which you could have cure with a gel seat

Still me likey.

Buy you brother a gel seat for his birthday, he'll thank you for it

Twin Akras... mmmmm

Check your charging circuit is putting enough V's into the battery.

Dunno about the Mille, but on the Falco a DB screen does make a difference and gives good wind protection even at silly speeds.

+1 to that. The desire for an RSV4 is doing my nut in!

I've already got a gel seat seat on the SV. It's certainly better than standard, but still very uncomfortable for me after an hour or so. I think the main problem is the large amount of weight resting on it but the RSV feels like an armchair in comparison, even though the riding position is a bit more sporty. I think the whole bike being a bit bigger helps.

dyzio: I'm going to take all the fairings off and check everything out including the charging circuit with it's infamous melted connectors. It's going to the TT with me on 1st June so needs to be reliable as I'm riding up from Plymouth!

sv4me: The RSV4 is simply beautiful, but sadly my funds wouldn't stretch that far
