Talking Hello fellow SV650 members

I've already posted but haven't introduced myself properly yet.

I live on the outskirts of Newcastle (North side) but have only lived here since last July. I'm 19 so still a newbie to motorcycling although I have been riding since I was 16.

My first bike or should I say Moped/Scooter was an NRG50. That was ok and was a good Scooter to learn on. I then went on to a Superbyke RMR 125. Had that for a little over a year. Bought it new and even though it was chinese, it still looked brand new when I sold it.

I now have a 33BHP '99 SV650S in Blue with 22500 miles on the clock. 4000 of those are mine. The guy I bought it from picked me up on his Hyabusa to take me back to his so that I could ride my, new to me, SV650S back home. Shorty after arriving home I went out for a ride only to break down 20 minutes from home. Battery had died which had stalled the bike while I was idling at a junction, something that shouldn't have happened. Soon found out my R/R had gone. Replaced it with another from I think, a Kawasaki. Have enjoyed ever mile since.

I'm not a fast rider and I'm especially cautious on roads I haven't been down before. I enjoy riding all together and don't need to be speeding down a counrty road to have fun.

I'm up for ride outs as long as I dont have anything planned so I will keep an eye out on here.

Love this forum, not sure what I would do without it.

Alreeeet & welcome (properly) sounds like you've got a level head on you for a young rider so well done mate, makes a change. You're doing the right thing building up your confidence. And i'm only as fast as how well I know the road so you're not the only one

Maybe see you at a meet at Hartside one day
