Unfortunately so much stuff now comes from the Far East and assembly point may not be the same as source manufacture

Yes, it does.

1. Fitting tatty cheap **** to your bike
2. Persevering when it clearly doesn't fit.
3. Not realising that you have no mechanical skill
4. Not wearing proper gear.

= Idiot

Similar to above,

Doesnt matter how cheap the crap is you fit to your bike, if its you who fits it then once you've noticed a fault - and choose to continue then you have no sympathy from me. - douche!

You would be suprised just how many people do the first 3 though... and number 4 obviously... none of which make anyone an outright idiot (even number 4)

Most people fit stuff like this on their own, you don't exactly need mechanical experience, and most would not really know if it was a littletight or not afterall if you buy something you expect it to fit, if it's a little tight it must be normal... right ...

Hell most people arn't even bothered about torque settings, let alone a lever being a little tight.

Marks to the guy for accepting some personal responsibility for the incident.

Even well known companies can send the wrong parts. If you persist and fit bits that don't match up properly to a fundamental part of the bike then you're asking for an issue.

Hindsight is always 20/20

LOL... I imagine most are fine. Just sets the tone of what could happen I guess, for something which should be as easy as remove the old ones, replace with new ones on.
