What can i use to clean my fancy Marchesini forged wheels? On my other bikes I used paraffin or WD40 but as these are not ordinary wheels, they be Italian and are on a Italian bike so likely to melt or break if you look at them funny. Should I use something 'delicate'. Or can I safely stick with the above?
I clean the chain with paraffin but I am so paranoid about the wheels I cover it with a rag ![]() |

NO!!!!
Muck off is the devils work. Amplimator, I have one of those delicate Italians you speak of with fancy wheels. I use SDoc 100, and they haven't melted yet ![]() But then the wheel paint is actually better quality than the rest of it ![]()

I use some pink liquid stuff I get from the local motorcross dealer and it seems to work fine......just wet the wheel first, spray on, wait a few seconds, work with a brush (dustpan brushes are excellent) then hose off. As long as you don't let it dry on I've never had an issue.

Once clean, give them a good dose of wax and sealant (poor boys EXP is ace!) then, it's just Mr Sheen and a duster to re-do.
