Default Wife's birthday ride

The wife wants to do a ride out on the weekend after her birthday, not sure where to go. Anyone got any suggestions? A bike friendly B&B would be great and something cool to see. (having just read the title back, no rude comments please!)

Sounds like a great idea, I always thought Southwold was quite nice and not too far for you.

As soon as Wifey and I can farm the boys out for a couple of nights, we're looking at doing something similar. Mind you, we'll have to sort luggage for the bikes too.

I think she wants to go a little further, quite local to us really but not a bad idea!

How far are you wanting to travel and what would you consider as something cool to see? Might help to get you a few more replies.

Do NOT go to Yorkshire. It WILL rain.

Unless you're Scottish, in which case you probably won't care about the rain, or unless you're a Yorkshire-man in which case, go back to Yorkshire and take your rotten weather with you.

But there's a really nice campsite and B & B there, that welcome bikes with fields and butties and BBQ's and stuff.

Go to Dalesbridge and do a mini re-run of the AR - in the sun!

Went to Yorkshire a couple of weeks ago, in the Malham/Ribblesdales area while the missus did the Three Peaks Challange. Nice views, but too many sheep for riding. I was thinking Isle of Wight/Mann but money is a bit tight at the mo.
