Left overs

If like me you hate throwing stuff away, especially food here's one I just found out about.

Having made some chicken wraps for dinner Monday (coincidentally from Sundays roast chicken) I noticed the packet of tortilla wraps had hit there best before date.

I made a ham salad wrap for my pack up today Tues but still had x3 left over.
After picking my boy from school and seeing one of the kids in the playground munching on a bag of Doritos i wondered if I could make the left overs into crisps.

A quick Google later http://lowcaloriecooking.about.com/o...tillachips.htm and I've baked up a batch in the halogen oven and it only took a few minutes.

Very tasty and filled my belly not the land fill.



Thought I'd share.

If anyone has any other top left over tips please post.

I likey, I'll pass that tip on to the chef in our house

done the same but shallowed fried..

then used the left over salsa from the pack with some cheese under the grill and hey presto ...nacho's
