If you go to the TCP SA website (they were the OEM suppliers of lowers for the SV) you can download a PDF of how to fit them.

If you need new grommets in the plastic, best of luck the are a real sod to fit. Washing up liquid and swearing helps.

put rubber grommets in very hot soap water, that works a treat, as the heat softens them up

Where were you when I needed you!

2 hours to fit the fairings and a bloody day getting the grommets in.

Top tip Paul, you can't get the top screw into the air intakes UNLESS you loosen the upper fairings first. And that's a load of fun as well.

Still when it's all done she will put a smile on your face cos it just looks so right. Especially if you have a seat cowl and she's pearl lively yellow.

I dont loosen the top fairing when i fit mine, way too much agro. if you loosely fit the plastic black screws for the fake air intake (the top and bottom ones) then you wont need to remove the top fairing.

Tighten them up after the button head screw is fitted behind the fake black intake, theyre only plastic and dont seem to vibrate out, although its only the top one which isnt fully tight, but finger tight.

That tip of using very hot soapy water also applies to rubber exhaust mounts for cars, but best not mention that here
