I've got a seat cowl and I can't make up my mind whether she would look better with the grab rail (or rear spoiler as I call it) or without.
I've heard you can get blanks to cover the holes if you take the grab rail off but I can't find anything on the forum. Any ideas? This is my winter project ![]() |

Like hens teeth I'm afraid
Banditmania used to do them I think. I have some (but not for sale)

Off the wall idea. You know the sort of black plastic thingys that are used to hold panels on cars. Could that work? |

If you search theres a thread somewhere where Hovis made them out of an Asda ready meal tray

You'll find them on Banditmania listed as Saddle Shutters. They're hilariously priced IIRC.
See Hovis's thread with the Asda curry tray as mentioned above or look at the main site under FAQ's and How To's - How to fill in the grabrail gaps where a floppy disk was cut up. A floppy disk was also used by a guy on SVRider here http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35779 Hope that gives you some ideas. |

Off topic but a true story about floppy disks...
Back in the 80s when there were only word processors the up market ones could save documents to a disc which was about the size of an LP (that show my age). My Boss' Secretary used to carefully file these discs in a lever arch file having punched holes in them... You couldn't make it up ![]() |

Just looked on Banditmania. They only had the 03 onwards ones listed at the friendly price of £40. I'll give them a bell anyway but I think it's going to be a case of taking the Grab rail off and seeing what Halfords have that will fill the hole

I have the same issue with mine, took the rail off now left with these unsightly holes. Think im going to remove the centre infill and fab it up to cover the gaps so its all one peice and doesnt put yet another crease line in the tail piece!

Easiest thing might be to get a bit of tin, cut and bend it to fit the gaps, and paint.
Actually... I'm gonna try this when I get home... I can post pics of the final product in anyone wants... |
