Default Petition against 'anti-tampering' legislation

No idea if this has been posted here already. If it has then I apologise, what are people's thoughts on this? Seems ridiculous!

I'm sure this was part of the big ride-out protest a few months back?

Yeah I am sure it was, but wasn't sure if people had seen the e-petition going around...

You want to sign up for something that contains pure lies?

Then they wonder why these petitions get ignored. (Well apart from the fact that the Government always knows best )

Oh and it also closed on the 10/11/2012 with just over 3,000 signatures.

Huh? Still got like 10 months left on the e-petition apparently...

does anyone know when the gov will actually be deciding if this goes through or not?

It's going through the motions in the EU Parliament at the moment. The UK Government is the wrong target at this stage.

Incidentally, there is almost nothing in the wording of that petition that is correct.

AFAIK there may be a pilot starting this year in a handful of French cities banning older vehicles in an attempt to improve air quality. It applies to all vehicles.

It's a local matter for the French if you ask me, and has absolutely nothing to do with the new EU motorcycle type approval legislation.
