nice to read these two know their duty.

I would think he would win an appeal. However he might need to provide proof that he was assisting the injured rider etc. His word alone would not be sufficient to justify parking.

Not an issue, as per the bottom of the article, council confirmed it had been cancelled.

I say we string them all up by short and danglies from a lampost with only parking tickets used to cover up their modesty.....

On a serious note, how do numptys like this with zero common sense even get an interview.......let along get recruited!!!

I had an experience almost like the one reported just before Christmas. I was jogging home from work to the station when a lady stepped out in front of a push bike. Big scream over she goes, bangs her head, is dizzy but concious.

We help her into an office doorway and call an ambulance. A guy driving a small van who was behind the push bike had pulled up too and was generally helping and making her comfortable.

Up comes a traffic warden, eases past the small crowd helping the lady, and bosh whacks a ticket on the van. The driver didn't realise until the warden was up the road on his toes and gone.

friend of mine USED to work for the traffic wardens in birmingham. he was sacked/quit when he refused to give out tickets one week before and one week after christmas.
he said all he would do, is if he saw a car parked illegally, he would wait by it and wait for the owner to turn up, then just say "i havent done you, its christmas, just be careful where you park as there are some right scrooges who do this job"

he says it was the worst most horrible job of his life.
