Default Google Maps

I've been messing about with google maps (as I do) but I've been looking at the times it gives to the routes you put in, and they seem a bit excessive in my mind.

In your exprience do you find the times to be accurate?

No, google says it should take 29mins for me to drive from my home to my work, at rush hour it can take twice a long, even on a Sunday evening when the road are dead it takes around 35mins (That's in a car) Even on the SV I can just about do it in 30 mins but that with filtering and a little speeding!

Never manage to take as long as they say. I use it as a rough guide or as the time taken including pit stops!

I went for the slacker option but only coz I've woken up like a bear with a sore head today...

I find the predicted times are way too long.

I find they are normally too long. Couple examples
Just yesterday i picked up my girlfriends sisters from Bristol airport. Google maps said 30 minutes. My sat nav said 20 mins, It took 20 at the speed limit.
From my parents place in Kent to Gatwick Airport. Google maps says 1hour 20 and sat nav says just over an hour. Again sat nav is right.
From parents place to Bristol. Google maps says 3 hours 10 minutes. Sat nav says 2 and 40 mins. I take less but might accidently speed

The roads aren't always right, I know that much. I live on Ewell Road and google have changed it to Warren Drive North. I've reported it so hopefully it will change soon.

I like the mobile maps app's there are, they provide you with traffic assessment in a lot of built up areas and can be quite accurate.

Google maps online is usually a good basis for me to turn up somewhere early as it always over estimates.
