smoother riding due to passenger and not hammering it about as much |

Depends.In town it gets a fair bit worse as you are constantly changing speeds and going up and down the box.The extra weight really tells.On long runs that doesnt matter much,so its all about aerodynamics and probably going a bit slower so consumption gets better.
