Just hearing them makes me feel 18 again.
Funnily enough I smelt some Brut 33 today, that made me feel 14

My last LC was the fully faired version of that model, a 1987 D regd F2 (D80 summat or other). I loved it, but as Power-Valves always do, it blew itself to bits

Yea this is a 1986 F2 1WO.

Crank is a little grumbly, powervalve sounds like its sticking (or could just be a low battery) and forks are soggy (even though they were meant to be rebuilt recently by Yam dealer).

Sort the forks and valve and it will do for the summer, then a engine rebuild in the winter.

I had a 1988 F2 and loved it. Wrote it off four times and still went back on the road. It never blew up bar a CDI frying under warranty. never rebored it and it went like stink!

It finally got nicked so I bought an VF500FII. Another stonking bike.

Hubba!
The ex had one, f2 rings a bell, had some sort of fairing, there's a pic of it in one of my albums on my profile. More rebuilds than it ran on the road, but we always had the best fun to look back on trying to get it going after. Thinks its crank seized twice, both times on the same frickin roundabout.

I loved that bike.....honest!

Last time I was at Stewarts a guy burbled up on one. We all gravitated outside to ogle and reminisce...
