I've finally got round to getting myself an Abba stand for all my tinkering which as far as I can see makes my rear paddock stand completely redundant. Before I sell it just want to check I'm not missing any uses for the paddock stand that would mean it's worth keeping it am I?

It can still be useful, especially when you are working around the middle of the bike and need the Abba stand out of the way.

Good point, I was going to get a headstock stand instead but for the price thought I may as well go for the abba. I only have about a quarter of the amount of room in my shed you've got at yours. A bit of shed rearranging may be called for & I'll keep hold of it for a while to see how much I use it.

you know of course, determined by sods law, that the day after you get rid of it will be the day you need it

LOL, too true. Maybe I can sell it to the wife so it'll stay in the shed

I have a selection of stands and I'd simply say:
A rear paddock stand loads the rear suspension, making it perfect for adjusting the chain. A front & rear paddock stand keeps the bike both elevated and level, sometimes useful. If I could only have 1 I'd have the Abba / NWS stand, but if I could keep both I would. Jambo

never needed any rear stand and manage everything with the ABBA and it has never hindered what i want to do but i also got the swingarm removal kit which is great for doing major work, i actually gave my paddock stand away. however i still use a front stand.

Next question.... I was expecting the adapters to be magnetic or something but they're not and they fall out. How do you keep them in the stand or don't you?
