Default Damage from parking in motorbike bays?

I keep hearing that you get lots of minor scrapes from parking in motorbike bays - any ways of avoiding this - other than buying your own parking bay!

Nope.

Well actually - park at the end of a bay if you can.

Either leave loads of space between you and the next bike, or none at all. If you leave *just* enough room for a scooter to be squeezed in, then a scooter will be squeezed in.

Or squeeze it in between two scooters, then disconnect their switch gear so they can't move off and scratch your bike before you get back.

Note: it's not recommended to do this to a real bike because the owner will kill you for f**king with their bike.

but.... if you do that, be aware that unscrupulous persons have been known to move bikes on the end of the bay out of the bay!

If its every day, hopefully the usual visitors will park in the same spaces and look after each other, but some bays are a real free for all.

In the UK this will make a difference only because the bikes which have these stickers on are made of wrought iron, and can't be easily moved. Most of them are driven by bankers.

I find that the very best defence is to have a "pre-disasterd" motorcycle. If your bike looks like it has already been written off a couple of times, peple give you a little space, figuring you really won't notice an extra scratch or two

Don't even get me started on fooking scooters!!!!!!!!
I caught one once in action trying to squeeze into a tiny space even tho I pointed out there was an entire free bay 20 meters away!!! He ignored me and carried on. Lazy, brain dead moron! Pushed himself next to a nice motorbike. Felt sorry for the owner. Once the bike is no longer leaning on the side stand and is upright it will be very difficult to get out without losing an indicator at the very least. I scratched my bike due to idiot scooter rider parking next to me. Next time I will take advice I had: take an inconveniently parked scooter, move it out and not necessarily be kind enough to replace the stand..... MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA
