Default Hein Gericke closing UK stores

After seeing some bar ends in HG a couple of weeks ago for £23 I looked on their website last week and saw that they had come down to £20, so popped in to their store in Coulsdon this afternoon to buy them.

On the window were a load of closing down sale posters. After chatting with the guy behind the counter he said that they are probably closing all stores in the country, although this hasn't been given the definate go ahead as yet. They will still be trading on the internet and are awaiting investors.

He said there will probably be a discount on the bar ends when he puts them through the till, and they came up at £13.99, so maybe there are plenty of bargains to be had. Might pop in tomorrow for some summer gloves.

That sucks a lot. I hope they get bought out and remain motorbike stores.

Well actually it's really old news because a few months ago suspicions were discussed about them going under. Not too be picky or owt

Not everyone reads every single thread anyway so helps to alert people with new ones.

Saw and read that thread, but the title does not suggest anything amiss at HG so thought I would update with a thread that gives people that haven't seen that thread a heads up, and also just to let peeps now about savings to be had .

Sad state of affairs, its never nice to here of a brand going

Phonenix distribution was closed this year through the George White's collaspe (it was expected from a few people I spoke to post george white's going pop), which has made quite a few others struggle as a follow on
