Curvy camchain noise?

I sent my 99 SY model to a local mechanic a couple of weeks ago for a general tune up,head bearings and oher jobs.

Got bike back thursday,
All the head bearings knackered,all calipers had seals either missing or knackered so all replaced,new pads,choke cable seized on(hence the rough running and no idle) choke linkages seized,carbs gummed up,air filter looks like its never been changed,new plugs and oil filter.
Stills needs stansion on the right hand side and other jobs but that lot was £500.
So I got the bike back and yea it runs lovely now.
Its got a slight noise on tick over which he says is cam chain tensioner but isnt that bad.
Do early models have cam chain trouble?

So am going to use the bike for work this week as I now have a givi rack fitted and after spending all that money need to get some use out of it.

They all do that Sir

Can be cured or improved by fitting Pointy K3 CCT's

But shouldn't be anything to worry too much about, just keep an eye on it
